What we're building next

CashSpell is made by a small team, and this is what we're working on. Features in testing are already built and are being checked on real phones. Planned features are designed and next in line. Plans and timing can change, and we'll keep this page up to date.

Money you share, and an app you can ask
The next release is about two things: letting the people you trust log entries for you, and getting answers about your money in plain words.

Shared accounts for partners and family
Invite your partner, your child or anyone you trust to one of your accounts. If they spend with your card, they log it on their own phone, in your account's currency, and you see it in your ledger with their name on it. Their own spending stays in their own private ledger, and they only ever see the accounts you share.

Ask about your money
Ask "how much did I spend on food last month?" or "what's left in my budget?" and get an answer with the figures behind it, each one tappable to see the entries. You'll also be able to add entries by chatting.

Search by meaning
Search for "coffee" and find the café, the bakery and the vending machine too, without remembering how you spelled the payee.

AI that runs on your phone
A small AI model that reads what you say or type right on your phone, so entries fill themselves in with no connection and nothing leaves the device. The cloud is only used when you choose it.

Voice entry in more languages
Speech recognition that runs on your phone for languages your phone can't recognise on its own. Until a language is ready, you can keep a voice note on the entry and fill it in later.

Export a month or any period as a tidy PDF, with totals by category, to keep, print or send to your accountant.

Sign in on a computer and see the same ledger, synced with your phones, for the times a bigger screen helps.

Add an expense by tapping, saying it, typing a sentence or scanning the receipt, and AI fills in the entry for you to check. Forward email receipts to your own private address.
